Austin Nolan playing 10th grade football on 9-21-09

Southside HS is down to two quarterbacks, so Austin was going to play QB for both the 10th grade and JV games on Monday night. He started the 10th grade game and was supposed to save himself for the JV game. The 10th grade game was called at half time due to severe weather. Click on the URL below to view the highlights for the half game that was played.

SS v Rogers Varsity 9-25-09

Austin #9 sees first varsity action. Alex #89 does his usual great job and is rewarded with a pass.

SOUTHSIDE Wins Again

I can not ever get Alex and Austin together on the sidelines. This is as close as it gets. Alex (89), Austin (9). Southside
beat Rogers last night in a good game. Southside let them back in the game after an early lead. We came back to win 38-21
Austin had 3 rushes for 21 yards last night. He got to play in his first Varsity game at Southside.

Alex had 1 catch for 27 yards. This was after we had scored and he was looking up at all of us that were doing the fight song without the band. I sure he was thinking I do not know those people. I did not get a picture of his catch, but I will try to get his dad to upload some video.
We were so glad that Emily and Jackson came to watch the game. After Jackson got use to the crowd he got into cheering for the REBELS. Thanks for coming it was a lot of fun.

Austin is 16 Bentonville and SS

Austin did spend a little time playing quarterback last night. A nice way to spend your 16th birthday.

Not much of a game last night. We only played half of the game because the storms started rolling in. We then went to Buffalo Wild Wings for some dinner. They let Austin go home with us so this is where he wanted to eat.

Southside wins

Southside won there game on Friday night. It was a 35-0 win I think. My pictures did not turn out so I will do pictures next time. The Hogs lost, but we had a great time at the game. The first quarter was very exciting. Our defense is going to improve I just know it.

Austin will turn 16 tomorrow. These last 16 years with him have been very busy. He is a great son and a lot of fun. I will try to get some pictures of him soon, but he and Alex both think mom takes way to many pictures.

Austin's first JV game at Southside

Austin is getting the next play from the sidelines. He is number 9 and had a great game on Monday night.
Southside JV won on Monday night against Rogers JV. Austin (9) had 3 of the 4 touchdowns.

A little run pass option. I enjoyed watching him get to play this week. He quarterbacked the JV team against Rogers. This was the first JV game of the year. Southside will play Bentonville next Monday in Bentonville. Bennett will add some video later. I am not sure how to do that.

First Football Game

Austin dressed out as a Southside Rebel.
Alex caught a pass last night on this play. It was a great catch.
They put the starters up on the board before the game.

It was hard to imagine that both of my boys were going to run out of that tunnel together. My mom asked before the game, "Where is Austin?" I told her he was going to be playing tonight too. She said, "I am not use to that." The game did not turn out the way we wanted, but I was thrilled to see my boys on the same team.
