Well football season is over.  Southside made it to the championship game, but lost to Bentonville.  It was a fun season and Alex has one more year left.

We have started basketball season and Austin is playing for Ramsey.  They had a big game last night against Greenwood and won.  We have a lot of games left to play.

Alex will be starting baseball practice in January with Southside.  Austin will start after basketball season.

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.

Alex First start at Southside

                                                  Alex is number 89

Southside boys singing with the band after the victory

Alex and Austin both had games on Thursday night Sept 4th.  Alex played Little Rock Christian at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, and Austin played in Fort Smith.  Much to my dismay Bennett and I had to each go watch a different game.  I took the camera and went to Little Rock.  Alex got his first start at Southside as a Junior.  I was very proud of him.  Southside won  22-14.

Austin's team did not do as well and got beat 6-0.  I know they will do better in the game tonight. Austin started at quarterback for the Ramsey Rams.  Bennett did not have the camera to take pictures but he did video the game.  At some point maybe we can put some video up of the boys games.

Micah and Lindsey's wedding

Last night we attended the wedding of my nephew Micah Gibson and his bride Lindsey.  It was a beautiful wedding and we are so happy for them as they start their life together.
Granddad Gibson before the wedding with Alex and Austin
Bryan, Brandon, Austin, and Alex before the wedding.  What a crew!
Jackson and his mom Emily looking at her flowers that she carried during the wedding.

The Nolan guys all dressed up. I am happy to call them mine.

Austin's scrimmage

Ramsey's blue gold scrimmage was on Friday night.  Austin is ready for football to get started.  They have a Jamboree on Thursday night, and his first game is also on Sept. 4th.  I guess Bennett will go to his game and I will be going to Little Rock.  Austin is #7

Alex is number 89  This is before the Southside Blue White game

Southside  Rebels  2008                                                                                 Alex is on the top row.  Can you see him?

Southside had their Blue White scrimmage Tuesday night.  We had fun watching the scrimmage and talking with the other parents.  Alex had just caught a pass and was coming back to the huddle.  We never seem to get the action because we are watching the game.  We will try to do better in the future.  First game is Sept 4th in Little Rock

School has started

Well it was back to school for the boys today.  They were not ready to give up their free time and sleeping late.  I can not believe that Alex is in 11th grade at Southside,  and Austin is in 9th grade at Ramsey.  Tomorrow is the Blue-White scrimmage for Southside.  If your children are starting school I hope they have a great year.

Summer almost over

Well summer is almost over.  I thought I would show some pictures of the boys this summer playing baseball.  This is Austin's last year to play as a Muckdog.  We will not know how to act next summer not being with everyone we have have spent the last 8 years with.  It was a lot of fun.
